Average two bedroom apartment in Canada has risen 2.7% over the last year

According to the annual report release today by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), the average rent for a two bedroom apartment had risen to $989, up 2.7% from last year’s figure.

The most expensive city for a two bedroom rental remains Vancouver at $1552 (up 6.2%) with the next closest cities being Toronto at $1404 (up 4.2%) and Calgary at $1288 (down 1%).
